milab end of the year demo night

On June 23rd we will be having our "end of the year demo night" event.
A special guest this year - Dr. Gili Weinberg, an Israeli-born musician and inventor of experimental musical instruments and musical robots. Gili also founded ZOOZ Mobile, a musical software company, maker of the iPhone music app ZOOZbeat.

Scratch Day 2010 at IDC

We decided to celebrate "Scratch day" locally this year and invited over 70 kids to join us for a 2 hours’ workshop at IDC.
17 communication students from the interactive program in the communication school have volunteered to give the workshop.
It was an inspiring event were kids from the age of 6 to 13 with different backgrounds and no Scratch knowledge, were able to create beautiful and complicated projects in barley an hour and a half.
Parents and grandparents were invited to stay and experience Scratch. At the end we were asked to orgenize a Scratch summer camp! ---Noa.

Arduino Workshop in our new Lab space

It was an exciting Friday morning as mentor, milab students and guests from HIT gathered at 9 am to learn all about Arduino. Well not all about.

Our instructor, Shachar Geiger, had planned 4 packed hours with hands-on as well as masive theory and examples set for us. Though a very impressive learning curve on our side.. there was not enuogh time to acctualy build something. But it sure did leave a taste for more.
